Defining immunoglobulin:

Immunoglobulin plays an essential role in keeping the immune system healthy. The specific immune cells, known as plasma cells produce protein in against of bacteria, virus and other harmful antigens that are known as immunoglobulin. It can also be called as an antibody.

Know about immunoglobulin Test

There are various types of immunoglobulin-like IgA (Immunoglobulin A), IgM (Immunoglobulin M), IgE (Immunoglobulin E), IgD (Immunoglobulin D). IgA, IgM and IgG are generally evaluated together in a test.  In this way, the doctors get useful information about the functioning of the immune system. It is mainly related to know about the infection or the anti-immune disease.

Immunoglobulin test helps in diagnosing the immunodeficiency. It is the state when the immune system is not working in the right manner. The immunodeficiency can be faced by anyone. Some children get immunodeficiency since childhood. It can be judged when the children are getting infection continuously without any particular reason.

Immunoglobulin M Test:

Vertebrates produce the immunoglobulin M. It is the largest antibody, which comes in against of the antigens at the first. Any new infection can be resisted by it to keep the immune system safe.  Once an immunoglobulin is being produced in the body, it can fight in response to the particular antigen. It is presented in the blood and lymph fluid.  

Is there any side effect of IgM Test:

The test is safe but in some medical tests, the result of taking out the blood causes fainting, lumps or bruises on the skin, weakness, pain because of various punctures to settle a vein.
